The XXIX Annual Conference of STOX was successfully held at NIN, Hyderabad. The event was a grand success, with nearly 300 delegates participating in the pre-conference workshop and the conference.

The abstracts of the presentations made would be posted soon on the site, for the benefit of the members who could not make it to the event.

The first DABT examination was successfully held at Bangalore Veterinary College on 9th and 10th October 2009. On this historical event of holding the examination outside America and Europe, the President of American Board of Toxicology, Dr. John Lipscombe personally proctored the Examination. A total of 28 candidates wrote the examination, including a candidate from Malaysia. Dr. K.S. Rao and Prof. K. Jayakumar were the Indian co-ordinators.

It is planned that starting 2010, Toxicology International will go online to save printing costs.

Consequently, all submissions to the journal will have to be sent as soft copies. The Journal website, www.toxicologyinternational.org has become functional. The soft copies of the articles will have to be uploaded at the site following the procedures mentioned on the home page of the Journal site.
