About STOX

The Society of Toxicology, India - (generally known as the Indian Society of Toxicology) or STOX for short, was formed to facilitate the exchange of ideas, information and knowledge among scientists, practitioners and policy makers working in different research and development areas of environment and occupational health or related areas of toxicology.

The Society was founded by Prof P.K. Gupta in the year 1979 at Lucknow. The Society is a founder member of the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX) since 1980.
