Instructions to Authors


INFORMATION TO AUTHORS
General
The authors are encouraged to become life members
of the Society of Toxicology (STOX), India. Membership form may be
downloaded and submitted along with fee. The
Journal (Toxicology International) is published bi-annually. All
those Life-members who subscribe for the journal are entitled to
receive one copy of the journal free-of-cost for 10 years, besides
other benefits of life membership of STOX, India.
Manuscript
Preparation
Manuscript should be typed in double space using MS word. The
official language is English, authors are advised to follow the
British pattern.
  1. Page 1 of the manuscript should contain the (i) title of the
    paper, (ii) the name(s) and address(es) of the author(s), where
    the work was done. E-mail address should also be given.

     

  2. Page 2 should contain TITLE followed by the ABSTRACT (not
    more than 200 words), 4-5 KEY WORDS, and the text proper. There
    should be no name(s) and adress(es) of the authors(s) on the
    subsequent pages. The text proper of research articles should be
    subdivided into following sections; INTRODUCTION, MATERIALS AND
    METHODS, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION, (ACKNOWLEDGE-MENTS)
    AND REFERENCES. For rapid communication the manuscript should be
    divided into Abstract, running matter and References only. The
    length of communication should not be more than 1000 words.
    Short communications of less than 500 words should contain only
    running text and references.

     

  3. Tables should be typed on separate pages and numbered.

     

  4. Illustrations and photographs should be of good quality. All the legends should be typed on separate sheet of
    paper and be numbered consecutively with arabic numbers.

     

  5. Standard symbols, abbreviations, nomenclature and standard
    international units be used.

     

  6. References should be cited in the text by the surname of the
    author(s) and the year. In case of more than 5 authors, surname
    of the first author followed by et al. and the year be cited. In
    the list of references at the end of manuscript, full and
    complete references in the following style be given and arranged
    alphabetically by first author's surname:

Periodicals

Submission
The soft copy of the manuscript should be uploaded in final from (strictly as per norms given
above) at www.toxicologyinternational.org website

Proofs

Proofs may or may not be sent to authors. Authors are therefore
advised to prepare the manuscript with utmost care and strictly as
per norms.

Reprints

Purchase of 50 reprints is compulsory. Price of reprints should be
sent immediately after the receipt of the invoice along with the
revised manuscript. Printing of coloured pictures shall be done on
extra charges, calculated on the basis of the manuscript
submitted. All payments should be made as account payee bank draft
payable to "Toxicology International" State Bank of India,
CARI Branch (Code no. 7027), Bareilly (UP), India, duly signed by
the author to the managing editor.

Revised manuscript may be submitted in MS Word format on a
PC Disk along with a hard copy.
