Prof P K Gupta Distinguished Scientist Lifetime Achievement Award in Toxicology

The Award will be given annually beginning from the year 2009/2010 at its Annual Conference in recognition of the contributions made for the advancement of Toxicology.

The Award is applicable to a distinguished Toxicologist of above 55 years of age.

The applicant must have spent majority of his/her career pursuing teaching/research in Toxicology at an Academic/Research Institute/ R & D.

Two experts/subject matter specialists will be nominated by the Executive Committee of STOX and these two Members with President of the Society will suggest the names of three candidates in order of merit for this award based on the following criteria :

Quality of research
Qualify of publications
Creative writing
Significant contributions made in the filed of Toxicology.
Contribution towards teaching including Post-graduate education
Number of Masters and Doctoral candidates guided
Number of publications in National and International Journals of repute
Honours and Awards received

Recommendations of the Experts will be evaluated and considered by Executive Committee of STOX, In case of any dispute, the decision of the Patron will be final.

The Award will be bestowed upon the recipient during the inaugural function of the Conference.

The award will consist of a Citation, a Shawl and memento and the recipient will be reimbursed to and fro II Class AC train fare.
