STOX/ASAW Gold Medal

The enhancement of animal
welfare awards are presented annually to two scientists in recognition
made to the advancement of animal welfare through the development and
application of methods that replace, refine, or reduce the need for
experimental animals. The award recognizes outstanding / significant
contributions in alternative procedures that reduce the number of
animals used.
